Vote for pools
Voting is how you, as a veNFT holder, decide which pools get the most BARK emissions this week — and it's how you earn the trading fees and bribes from the pools you back. Voting takes a minute and is the single highest-leverage thing a locker does each epoch.
New to the why behind this? See Understand ve(3,3) and Epochs & the weekly cycle.
What your vote does
Your veNFT carries voting power. You split that power across one or more pools, and BARK emissions for the week are divided between pools in proportion to the votes each receives. Vote for a pool and two things happen:
- That pool gets more emissions → its liquidity providers earn more BARK.
- You become entitled to that pool's trading fees and bribes for the epoch.
So you're not just being generous — you vote for the pools that will pay you back the most in fees and bribes.
How to vote
- Go to Votes in the app. Your veNFT and its voting power are shown.
- Browse the pools. Useful signals: each pool's fees, bribes, and votes so far — together these hint at the reward per vote.
- Select the pools you want and assign weights (e.g. 70% to one pool, 30% to another). Weights are relative — the app normalizes them to your total power.
- Confirm the vote in your wallet.
One vote per epoch
Each veNFT votes once per epoch. You can change your selection during the week, but voting again doesn't stack extra power. When a new epoch begins, re-vote to keep earning — a vote isn't forever, it's per week.
A smart voter looks at rewards per vote: a pool offering big fees and bribes but with few votes so far can pay each voter more than a crowded pool. Many lockers chase the best fee-and-bribe yield each week — that competition is exactly what keeps emissions flowing to pools the market actually values.
Voting for your own pool
If you also provide liquidity, you can vote for your own pool. You'd then earn:
- BARK emissions as the LP (from staking — see Provide liquidity), and
- Fees + bribes as the voter.
That's the full ve(3,3) stack working for you at once.
After you vote — claim
Voting earns rewards, but they're pull-based: nothing lands in your wallet automatically. After the epoch flips, head to Claim rewards to collect your fees, bribes, and rebase.
Skip a week and your power sits idle — no fees, no bribes for that epoch. Build the habit: each week, claim, then re-vote.
